Job Description:

The Associate Software Development Engineer is responsible for aiding in the design, development, and testing of software systems, modules, or applications to enhance software products and create new tools, including cloud-based or internet-related solutions. This role involves assisting in detailed design for specific modules/sub-systems, prototyping for multi-vendor infrastructure, and presenting it to internal or external clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing functionality in a microservices environment, working with APIs, telemetry data, and running ML/AI algorithms on structured and unstructured data.
• Receiving detailed instructions to develop solutions that drive business growth.
• Assisting in writing and testing code.
• Helping execute automated testing.
• Taking direction from various stakeholders to participate in software deployment.
• Contributing to the delivery of software components in collaboration with the product team.
• Supporting the integration and building of solutions through automation and coding, using third-party software.
• Following detailed instructions to craft, build, and debug large-scale distributed systems.
• Assisting in writing, updating, and maintaining technical programs, end-user documentation, and operational procedures.
• Helping to refactor code.
• Assisting in reviewing code written by other developers.

Skill Set:

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services across various public clouds, including AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Office 365.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and related libraries and frameworks.
• Knowledgeable in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with microservices-based software architecture and API product development.
• Comfortable working with large data sets and applying appropriate ML/AI algorithms.
• Skilled in developing with SQL and no-SQL databases like Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Familiar with container runtimes such as Kubernetes, Docker, and LXC/LXD.
• Experienced with agile and lean practices, and advocates for test-driven development.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Demonstrates a proactive and initiative-driven attitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
• Effective at collaborating within a diverse team with varying backgrounds and experience levels.
• Thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Well-versed in CI/CD concepts and tools.
• Proficient in cloud-based infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
