Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, invites online applications for apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act 1961. Eligible candidates can apply online from May 22, 2024, 9:30 hrs to June 21, 2024, 17:30 hrs via the ICF website.

Eligibility Criteria
Age (as on June 21, 2024)
- ITI Candidates: 15 to 24 years
- Non-ITI Candidates: 15 to 22 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Educational Qualifications
- Ex-ITI: Passed 10th class with a minimum of 50% marks and possess a National Trade Certificate.
- Freshers: Passed 10th class with a minimum of 50% marks in Science & Maths.
- MLT (Radiology & Pathology): Passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Training Period
- Ex-ITI: 1 year
- Freshers (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist): 2 years
- Freshers (Carpenter, Painter): 2 years
- Freshers (Welder): 1 year and 3 months
- MLT: 1 year and 3 months
Stipend
- Freshers (Class 10th): ₹6000/- per month
- Freshers (Class 12th): ₹7000/- per month
- Ex-ITI: ₹7000/- per month
Application Process
- Apply Online: Only through the ICF Website.
- Required Documents: Relevant certificates and a recent passport-sized photograph.
- Processing Fee: ₹100/- (non-refundable), exempt for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
- Fee Payment: Online mode only.
- Acknowledgement: Generate and print after final submission for document verification.
Selection Process
- Merit List: Based on marks obtained in Std X.
- Tie-breaking: Older candidates preferred; if dates of birth are the same, then earlier Std X pass-outs will be considered first.
Other Important Information
- No Employment Guarantee: Training does not confer any right to employment in ICF/Railways post-completion.
- Accommodation: Not provided by ICF; candidates must arrange their own.
- Reservation: SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates must submit relevant certificates to avail reservations.
