Job Title: Lead Consultant, Python Developer

Role Summary: As a Lead Consultant, Python Developer at Genpact, you will be a critical player in our software development team. Your role will involve designing, coding, testing, and ensuring the quality of deliverables. You will be expected to bring innovation to the team by leveraging AI technologies and ensuring that the solutions you develop are robust, scalable, and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and Coding:
   • Write efficient and maintainable Python code that adheres to industry standards and client requirements.
   • Develop program specifications and modules based on client standards and project requirements.
   • Implement features and resolve issues by understanding technical problems and providing solutions.
2. Requirements Gathering and Design:
   • Capture and design requirements from various sources such as databases, business intelligence setups, and implementations.
   • Work closely with Product and Strategy teams to develop Python code in alignment with product policies and strategies.
3. Communication and Collaboration:
   • Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary project teams and external agencies to ensure tasks are completed on time and within specifications.
   • Liaise with clients and analysts to understand technical requirements and ensure that deliverables meet expectations.
4. Technical Troubleshooting:
   • Identify, document, and address technical issues efficiently.
   • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
5. Process Improvement:
   • Establish process rigor and drive transformation within the team.
   • Promote best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the development team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B Tech) or Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in application development, with proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Shell scripting, and RESTful WebServices.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS such as DB2, Sybase, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
  • Experience with Unix environments and web servers like Apache and Tomcat.
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Strong analytical and design skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working within these frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
