About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated L1 Support team member to join our CMS Command Centre. In this role, you will operate within the Australia Operations Banking domain on a rotational shift basis, supporting multiple critical C1 applications in a production environment. The role requires the ability to interact with individuals at all levels, work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

What Will Your Day Look Like?
Your responsibilities will include:
- Continuous Monitoring: Overseeing batch jobs and monitoring application health dashboards.
- Health Checks: Performing daily health checks on over 50 C1/C2 applications.
- Status Reporting: Reporting the status of daily batch jobs to customers and stakeholders.
- Incident Analysis: Analyzing job failures, performing initial triage of incidents, and executing available workarounds for long-running batches and job failures.
- Escalation and Restoration: Following established escalation processes and utilizing knowledge bases/runbooks to restore services promptly.
- Report Generation: Creating and distributing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Liaison: Working closely with application teams to resolve issues and ensure application stability.
- Scrum Participation: Participating in daily Scrum and stand-up calls to discuss ongoing issues and progress.
What Will You Bring?
To be successful in this role, you should ideally have the following:
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience with SQL and Unix/Linux.
- Skills: Hands-on experience with Shell scripting or Python is advantageous. Understanding of batch monitoring and workflow processes is beneficial.
- ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with Incident management and ITIL processes.
- Support Experience: Previous experience in application/production support roles.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively with the application support team and other colleagues.
Good to Have Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with application/production environments.
- Certifications: ITIL V4 and AWS certification are a plus. Scripting skills in Python or other languages are also beneficial.
- Tools Experience: Experience with incident management tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy and batch monitoring tools like Control-M, IBM-Tivoli, or Autosys.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and resolution skills.
- Customer Focus: Excellent customer focus and relationship management skills.
