AFCAT Recruitment for 304 Vacancies Overview:
- Application Period: Starts on 30 May 2024 at 1100 HRS and ends on 28 June 2024 at 2330 HRS.
- Exam Dates: Scheduled for 09 August 2024 (Friday), 10 August 2024 (Saturday), and 11 August 2024 (Sunday).
Branches and Vacancies:
- Flying Branch: 18 vacancies for men and 11 for women.
- Ground Duty (Technical):
- AE(L): 88 vacancies for men and 23 for women.
- AE(M): 36 vacancies for men and 9 for women.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Includes various roles such as Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education, and Meteorology.
- NCC Special Entry (Flying): 10% of seats from CDSE and AFCAT vacancies.
Educational Qualifications:
Flying Branch:
- 10+2: Minimum 50% marks in both Maths and Physics.
- Graduation:
- A three-year degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks,
- or BE/B Tech with 60%,
- or passing Sections A & B of the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aeronautical Society of India with 60%.
Ground Duty (Technical):
- Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) [AE(L)]:
- 10+2 with 50% in Physics and Maths,
- Four-year degree in Engineering/Technology,
- or Sections A & B of relevant institutions with 60% in specific engineering disciplines.
- Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) [AE(M)]:
- Similar requirements to AE(L) in relevant engineering disciplines.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- Weapon Systems: 10+2 with 50% in Maths and Physics, and a three-year degree with 60%, or BE/B Tech with 60%.
- Administration & Logistics: Graduate degree with 60%, or passing Sections A & B of relevant institutions with 60%.
- Accounts: B. Com, BBA (Finance), BMS (Finance), BBS (Finance), or B.Sc. (Finance) with 60%.
- Education: Post-Graduation with 50% and Graduation with 60%.
- Meteorology: B.Sc with Physics and Maths with 60%, or a four-year degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% in specific streams.
Salary:
- Upon commissioning, a Flying Officer will have a pay scale from ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), with a Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500.
Age:
- Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old. For more details, refer to the official notification.

- Select “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE”.
- Create a Log-in ID and receive a password via email.
- Sign in with your registered email and system-generated password.
- Change the password if needed and log out.
- Log back in with the new password.
- Application Form:
- Choose your entry type: “AFCAT” or “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH”.
- Read and acknowledge the instructions.
- Complete the form with your personal, qualification, course preference, and communication details, and upload required documents (photo, signature, thumb impression).
- Exam City Selection:
- Choose your preferred exam city.
- Payment:
- Click “MAKE PAYMENT” (only for AFCAT applicants).
- Confirm payment status.
- Admit Card:
- Download the admit card starting from 24 July 2024.
